An industrial historian, not a spreadsheet
Every package ships a signed PostgreSQL 18 installer that is configured for MeterSight and bound to loopback. Retention defaults to indefinite; low disk raises a health warning and never silently deletes customer data. Prefer your own PostgreSQL? Connect with TLS certificate and hostname verification.

Uninstall keeps your data
Removing MeterSight preserves PostgreSQL, historian data, waveforms, configuration, licenses and backups. Destroying data is a separate, explicit administrator action.
