Energy used over time
A kilowatt-hour, or kWh, measures energy. A 1 kW load running for one hour uses 1 kWh.
MeterSight reads cumulative energy totals from your meters. The change between readings gives the energy used during a period, so you can compare billing cycles and see which metered loads account for the usage.
Blended rate
Turn kWh into an estimated cost
MeterSight uses a blended rate: a single average price per kWh that you enter for the site. It applies that rate to the energy used to estimate cost.
This gives you a consistent way to compare tenants, loads and billing periods in dollar terms. Review your chosen rate when your energy costs change.
