Accessibility Statement
Wasatch Automation, LLC wants everyone to be able to use this website and the MeterSight software, including people who use assistive technologies. This statement describes our target, what we have done, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
1. Our standard
We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The MeterSight software targets the same standard for its web interface, with an emphasis on keyboard operation, visible focus, colour contrast and screen-reader labelling.
2. What we have done on this website
- Semantic HTML with landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), a logical heading order and a skip link to the main content on every page.
- Full keyboard operability, including the mobile menu, expandable FAQ items and forms, with visible focus indicators that meet WCAG 2.2 focus-appearance guidance.
- Text and interface colours chosen for at least 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components, in both light sections and dark sections.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels for buttons and navigation links.
- Meaningful alternative text for informative images and screenshots; decorative icons hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields with visible labels, required-field indication that does not rely on colour alone, helper text linked with
aria-describedby, and error messages announced through a live region. - Text that scales to at least 200 percent without loss of content, layouts that reflow to 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling, and no content locked to a single orientation.
- Motion limited to subtle fades that are disabled when the operating system's reduce-motion preference is set. No flashing content.
- Descriptive page titles, link text that makes sense out of context, and breadcrumbs on inner pages.
3. Accessibility in the MeterSight software
- Interactive graphics (for example clickable breakers) are keyboard accessible: Enter or Space opens a detail panel and Escape closes it.
- Light and dark themes with contrast-checked palettes, including chart colours for ITIC and trend displays.
- Tables, reports and forms use labelled controls and predictable focus order.
- PDF reports are generated with real text (not images of text) so they can be read by screen readers and searched.
We continue to test the software with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers and prioritise fixes in each release.
4. Known limitations
- Some product screenshots on this website show dense report layouts. Each has a descriptive alternative text summarising the content, and the underlying data views in the software are accessible tables.
- Sample report and chart images are static pictures; the live equivalents in the software provide the data in table form.
- Third-party services (for example web fonts and hosting) are outside our direct control.
5. How we test
We check pages with automated tools (browser accessibility audits and contrast checkers) and by hand with keyboard-only navigation, Windows screen readers, browser zoom at 200 and 400 percent, and the reduce-motion and high-contrast operating-system settings.
6. Feedback and contact
If you have difficulty using any part of this website or the MeterSight software, or have a suggestion, please tell us. Email support@wasatchautomation.net with the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix genuine barriers as a priority.
7. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate by writing to us at the address on our About page, marked for the attention of the accessibility lead. We will review and respond in writing.
